What is the NSSF Career Expo About?
The NSSF Career Expo is the ultimate university event that offers a platform to students to network and learn from established industry practitioners for career advice, personal growth as well as extend opportunities to land internship and practice opportunities.
The Career Expo is marking 12 years after its inception in 2011. This program has reached over 300,000 university, tertiary and vocational institutional students from 18 institutions; and directly impacted over 167,000 students with unique skill sets in the professional job market and business start-up projects.

Patrick Ayota Acting Managing Director | NSSF Uganda
Patrick joined NSSF in July 2011 and is currently the Acting Managing Director. He is also in charge of the Fund’s Strategy Function. He was previously the Chief Financial Officer, a position he held for 6 years until November 2017. Patrick has been at the forefront of various projects at the Fund which he steered successfully, including set up of the strategy function, the rollout of the balance performance scorecard, and was named runner up at the 2017 National CFO Awards organized by ACCA.
Helen Nangonzi Basuuta Marketing and Customer Experience Director | Absa Bank Uganda
Helen is the Marketing and Customer Experience Director at Absa Bank Uganda. She has a wealth of experience gained over a 14-year career in Product Development, Brand Management, Corporate Relations, Marketing, Client Experience, Administration, Sustainability, and Human Resource Management.
Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences – First Class (Hons) and an Executive MBA attained from ESAMI (Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute). She has several certificates and accreditations in Digital Marketing, Rethinking leadership, Women in Leadership program, Lean Sigma program and Mobile Marketing Training, among others.
She is passionate about uplifting and paying it forward for young people.
Barbra Teddy Arimi Head of Marketing & Corporate Affairs | NSSF Uganda
Barbra joined the Fund in December 2014 as the Head of Marketing and Communications, from Orient Bank where she was Group Head Corporate Communications and Marketing. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
Geoffrey Sajjabi Chief Commercial Officer | NSSF Uganda
Geoffrey is responsible for the Fund’s business growth and retention through improved compliance and member recruitment. He is also the Chairman of the NSSF Contracts Committee and is charged with ensuring value for money in Fund procurements as well as compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.
He has worked across the Fund in a variety of commercial, operational, and managerial roles. Having started off as a Benefits Officer, he quickly rose through the ranks to Senior Benefits Officer, Branch Manager, Contributions Manager and more recently Chief Commercial Officer.
Edward Senyonjo Chief Risk Officer | NSSF Uganda
Edward is a risk professional, with vast experience in risk and business continuity management. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, and he is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK, a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Uganda.
Alex Rumanyika Strategy Team Lead | NSSF Uganda
Alex’s professional experience covers management consulting in business strategy, operations, and corporate finance. He has undertaken consultancy assignments in support of merger & acquisition and divestiture transactions including business valuations, due diligence, and feasibility studies.
He oversees the Fund’s strategy function.
Moses Kiboneka Power and Automotive Engineer | Actor
An experienced General Manager working in the automotive industry. Moses Kiboneka, popularly known as Uncle Mo, is a Ugandan comedian, actor, YouTube creator, and emcee. He is popular for his social commentary and witty short videos with a loyal fanbase on YouTube and other social media channels. Uncle Mo started his acting career in 2017 and made his stage debut at the National Theatre in Kampala. He runs a successful automotive business and creates content for top brands in Uganda.

Muhereza Kyamutetera Executive Editor CEO East Africa Magazine
He is one of Uganda's most awarded, respected, and trusted marketing and communications professionals with over 18 years of experience in the design and delivery of winning integrated brand and marketing communications solutions for over 85 domestic, regional, and international brands. Kyam as he’s commonly known has worked for various communications agencies at a senior level, including Corporate Image Ltd (Managing Director); Fireworks Advertising (General Manager) and ZK Advertising (PR Director). He is a thought leader and has previously served in several roles in the industry, including Vice President of the PR Association of Uganda and Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Uganda Advertising Association.

Prossy Kayeny is a dynamic professional in two distinct fields: Human Resources and Customer Experience. She has over 15 years of corporate experience in private and public sector organizations. An accomplished customer experience guru, Prossy worked in senior roles leading and defining customer experience strategy and mentoring customer interfacing staff to develop and grow their careers. In the Human Resources space, she has thrived as a Learning and Development practitioner as well as an HR generalist gaining years of experience as a facilitator and trainer from formal employment and consulting and taking on devolved HR roles as a line manager.

Sarah Kagingo Founder & CEO | Soft Power Communications.
Sarah Kagingo is the Founder and CEO of Soft Power Communications, under which SoftPower News operates.
She served as Principal Press Secretary, Office of the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda, and previously as Special Presidential Assistant for Communication between 2011 and 2014. She is credited for digitising the President's communications.
Currently, Kagingo serves as the elected Vice Chairperson of the Board of directors of the Private Sector Foundation Uganda. She chairs the board committee that is charged with People & Culture, and Innovation.

Vincent is a Business Leader, Motivational Speaker, Software Developer, and a catalyst for equitable and sustainable rural economies.
